Rhett Palmer: I wanna tell you about this, we have Mr. Skrob there, Mr. Skrob
are you there?

Robert Skrob: Yes, sir how are you Rhett?

Rhett Palmer: How are things up in Tallahassee?

Robert Skrob: Oh, they’re terrific thank you.

Rhett Palmer: Brrr.

Robert Skrob: Yeah it is getting cold up here, I hear there’s some chill coming down even in your way, it said tomorrow morning.

Rhett Palmer: Okay you have written the Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing.

Robert Skrob: That’s right.

Rhett Palmer: Now obviously you know you want – you’re trying to make a living off of helping others make a living but you’ve got some amazing stories, one first Ed, Ed the dentist guy. Why don’t you tell that story?

Robert Skrob: Well what info marketers do is they package information and you take something that you know about or that you’re interested in, you know it could be as simple as how to teach a bird to talk or how to get rich buying and selling real estate and you package that into a product of manuals and maybe some audio CDs and then you offer it for sale. What Ed O’Keefe did is he was – he wasn’t even a gym teacher he was an assistant to gym teachers and so he didn’t have any particular knowledge or skills he was just in his 20’s and so he went out and researched what would be the best industry for him to try to offer a product in and for him he decided it was going to be dentistry and now he has over 800 dentists who each pay him $450 a month for his monthly newsletter and audio interview and marketing tools that he provides to him and he helps them put more patients in chairs but Ed, he’s never been a dentist before instead he just studied the marketing information that dentists need to know in order to grow a practice.

Rhett Palmer: So you do the math $450 a month, 800 dentists, that’s approximately 5 million dollars a year of income.

Robert Skrob: All that he created just by learning some knowledge that dentists needed to know that they weren’t being taught in dental school, they teach them all about the anatomy of the mouth and how to do root canals but they never teach them how to actually find a patient.

Rhett Palmer: You know I’ve thought about doing that, you know my biological father was an attorney at law, he’s deceased but I see these lawyers out there and had my father lived perhaps I would’ve been an attorney but instead I got into show business, I don’t know maybe I was trying to get the attention that I lacked in my youth, not having a dad, I don’t know what happened here, something went a miss but anyway.

Robert Skrob: Or maybe it’s even better.

Rhett Palmer: I love what I do, but the point is that these lawyers, I should charge lawyers $100,000 a year, you got about ten that would be a million bucks a year to consult with me. I used to run an ad agency in upstate New York because they really, they look terrible put some makeup on your face, they look like they’re criminals, “hi, have you had a car accident, call me, we’ll sue”, you know well great you really inspired confidence in me you know and they win one of these cases for 100 million dollars they get a 33 million dollar commission or whatever it is right and then or they get one of these class action suits where everybody gets $200 but the group of attorneys get 30 million dollars, you know but they have these terrible billboards and these terrible ads, TV whatever it may be, have a little elegance and class and their promotions. Somebody needs to get these attorneys to – do you agree with me?

Robert Skrob: I agree with you completely and as a matter of fact within the book there’s a profile of an Attorney Ben Glass, who is a Personal Injury Attorney who created a unique marketing system whereas in most of the phone books attorneys are screaming, call me, you need a lawyer call me before you settle, instead his ads say don’t call an attorney until you read this free information, and of course the information educates them on the law and educates them on what they need to know before they decide whether or not they’re gonna call an attorney but of course after they understand everything they need to know the attorney that they’re gonna call is Ben Glass or one of the attorneys that is using Ben’s marketing. So Ben took his unique marketing, unique approach that’s completely different than what most attorneys do, packaged it into a manual, some sample ads and audios that teach attorneys how to do this stuff and made it available.

Rhett Palmer: Okay so tell us how – who are you? We wanna know who you are.

Robert Skrob: Well my background is in associations which are non-profit organizations that have a group of people with a like interests, the Movers Association, different trade associations throughout the country and what I saw were these for profit companies who were putting on seminars just like my associations did and they were putting out newsletters just like my associations did and they published manuals but they were making a profit and I was in a non-profit organization. So I thought I need to check out what’s going on over there so I over the last several years I’ve been studying those for profit techniques and actually applied them both within my associations and created my own for profit products myself and actually became something of a goo roo that other info marketers turn to and so what I created this book as a manual so that anybody who has some unique information wants to be a consultant, wants to go train other people but doesn’t wanna have to trade hours for dollars all the time can create a product once and sell it many times through information marketing.

Rhett Palmer: All right we’re gonna take a break when we come back, we wanna find out more, they said they made an exhaustive study of hundreds of people who used info marketing and became extremely successful, the 30 profiles featured in the book are illustrative examples of these rags to riches stories, okay the book features a nine step formula anyone can follow to build a business selling newsletters, manuals, audio programs, training seminars. Now this is not somebody, I’m not having this guy on the air so you can create some rip-off scheme if you’re some kind of a thief or you’re a criminal out there but for you good folks listening, listen you have information, you have knowledge, knowledge is power, it’s great to pass it on. So many of us are living lives of quiet desperation’s, just like the character who put a fish sandwich in my mailbox over the holiday. Somebody left a half of an eaten fish sandwich and I’m very good at fish sandwiches, I could tell this was not a McDonald’s, I believe it was a Burger King fish sandwich and it was half eaten, now what I need to know is if – now I did have one person visiting who was picking up my mail when I was out of town perhaps they were eating a sandwich, put it in the mailbox and forgot to take it back out of the mailbox but I do want – if there is a culprit out there listening who knows about who put that fish sandwich in my mailbox I want you to beware. I have eight cameras around the house, it is on video, it is on my DVR, it keeps that information for 15 days, the experts are coming down from Melbourne, Florida today to examine the video, we will know. Now if this perpetrator of this fish sandwich crime comes to me and admits what they did I will let them go, there is a window of mercy here but I want you to know it is a federal crime to put a fish sandwich in a mailbox. It actually is, you know you’re not supposed to use your mailbox for anything else, did you know that Mr. Skrob.

Robert Skrob: Yes I did know that.

Rhett Palmer: So if you let me know sometime today before the experts come from Melbourne, otherwise we’re gonna view the videotape and we are going to prosecute, it is against the law to put a half eaten fish sandwich in someone’s mailbox and it was a very yucky experience to have to de-fish my mailbox. It had all kinda dried – you know how mayonnaise gets all kinds of dried out and becomes kinda half clear, half mayonnaise looking and yucked out so if the perpetrator of this crime contacts me within the next 12 hours we will not press charges you can just ask for forgiveness and you’ll get it but if I have to pay these experts to come in from Melbourne to view this video and it’s gonna be a long road and we gotta through all the days I was gone but it’s there you’re caught on tape, my mailbox is videotaped 24/7 so anyway enough of that. Okay Mr. Skrob we’ll be back with his book, The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing. How can my listeners get a copy of your book?

Robert Skrob: Oh it’s available at any bookstore or online, Amazon.com or BN.com and also there’s more information on my website, www.infomarketingbook.com.

Rhett Palmer: Okay more success stores when we return. Today’s broadcast being brought to you by White Glove Moving and Storage, simply the best doesn’t get any better. Also be Stella’s, delicious Italian cuisine upscale Italian by Kroche himself, the famous Italian chef has now opened Stella’s make reservations, you’ll love it, ooh it tastes so good and also if you’re thinking about some Italian pastries, stop into Ferrara’s Italian pastries and bakery shop, oh it smells like a New York Bakery and it tastes so good and it’s very affordable prices in there, just down the street from US One Nissan Honda, now where US One Nissan Honda is on the left side as you’re heading south on US 1, well on the west side of the road right down there in a little plaza is Ferrara’s Italian Baker, tell them I sent you we’ll be right back. Oh well rats multiply so quickly that in 18 months two rats could have over a million descendants and by the way TEEN is a Scottish word meaning “grief”. Mr. Skrob you have any teenagers?

Robert Skrob: Not yet I’ve got one that’s 12 years old so I will just in a few, I guess eight months now.

Rhett Palmer: What is Information Marketing, first of all what’s the title of your book?

Robert Skrob: It’s the Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing.

Rhett Palmer: Well are you getting rick by writing this book?

Robert Skrob: Well certainly I had profit modems but more importantly the matter I really wanted to give people a way that maybe a consultant like me, my background is I’m a CPA and way back when I was in public accounting and I what public accounting is, once you do a tax return it could be the world’s best tax return but for the next customer you gotta start over with blank forms, you can’t just give that one return to every customer that shows up at the door. I think they call that for HUD but nonetheless when you – what I wanted to try to find was a way that I could do the work once and get paid many times and that’s really what information marketing is, is it allows you to record an audio seminar to create a book, create a manual, create a home study course and you create that one time and it teaches that information many times to lots of different customers.

Rhett Palmer: Well it’s like syndication or duplication or franchising.

Robert Skrob: It’s exactly correct but it doesn’t require any of those big words or legal work, instead it’s just putting down on audio or putting down on paper what you know and what you teach that way you can teach it and you don’t even have to be in the room.

Rhett Palmer: Yeah, people pay anywhere from 25,000 to 250,000 for consultations right, I mean even big CEOs hire these consultants, everybody wants advice.

Robert Skrob: Exactly and it can be as simple as a hobby as to how to teach knitting to how to teach a bird to talk to how to hit a golf ball farther or a lot of info marketers are successful in business, teaching businesses how to market, how to get more customers, how to generate more business for themselves, if you can walk in maybe in paper through a sales letter or present an ad in a magazine or a radio show, to say hey, you can get more customers in a month than you currently get in a year by applying this marketing system that these guys over here created and tested and proved, well to a business that can mean a lot of money and they’re willing to invest in that so anybody who has a process, a lot of people discount what they know but if you’ve been business a while or you’ve been at a job or work at a particular hobby for a while you have information, the little short cuts that you’ve developed and little things that you’ve done that are valuable to other people and making those available is extremely valuable to others.

Rhett Palmer: Well there are racehorse buying consultants, restaurant decorating consultants, foreign bride finding consultants, what’s a jury consultant though, you said something about a jury consultant?

Robert Skrob: Well they teach attorneys what to look for when they’re selecting jurors and so there’s all kinds of manuals and home study courses and seminars.

Rhett Palmer: So what you’re saying here is you see God kinda did a really cool thing here, you find somebody that’s highly gifted like the absent minded professor, yes he’s a genius but he can’t take care of common sense details, reminds me a little of myself, but then you’ve got – so in other words folks none of us get the whole ball of wax, in other words we all need – I can’t do my teeth so Dr. Rendon can give you that million dollar smile with luminaires, and they don’t have to drill down your teeth anymore, by the way he’s on 17th Avenue here in Vero Beach, Dr. Nicholas Rendon, that is an advertisement by the way. But it’s the truth that he’s a specialist so if I have a lot of stress in my job I call a massage therapist, I have to humble myself, lay down and I have to get a massage on my achy breaky back right, well you have to humble yourself just like each of use, you may want to know how to promote your book on radio, well you had to humble yourself by realizing you need to be on radio shows like mine in order to promote your book, right?

Robert Skrob: Well even like for you Rhett, I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there that would love to have their own radio show but they don’t think that they’re qualified or they don’t think that they – they don’t really know how do you get the guests and how do you do the program where you know how to do that, you could create – you could put what you know about putting on a radio show into a couple of audio programs into a binder manual and then make that available to other people who want to learn to do radio shows all around the country.

Rhett Palmer: Yeah, well what I need to do is franchise and we make a piece of the action.

Robert Skrob: Well you could do that too, but the university system really was made for young kids to teach them life long either skills. Well today’s environment skills are changing all the time and what you did five years ago is now out of date today and so info marketers have really stepped in to fill that gap to provide that ongoing learning and it’s never been more necessary than it is today and it’s growing all the time so there’s opportunities for everybody to create their own product with what they know and make it available either over the internet, through radio advertising or through magazines or direct mail.

Rhett Palmer: Just like that one fellow outlined, there’s 30 profiles featured in this book by the way, the Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing. One fellow consults dentists, he gets $450 a month per dentist, he’s got over 800 dentists but he helps put people in the seats so they get one customer a month, one new patient a month, it’s good for that dentist right? Figure out 800 times $450, that’s about 5 million dollars a year income, not bad.

Robert Skrob: Not bad at all.

Rhett Palmer: So 30 profiles are featured in your book, our illustrative examples of these rags to riches stories, how can my listeners get a copy of the Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing Robert?

Robert Skrob: It’s available at bookstores, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million and Borders also Amazon.com, BN.com and for more information you can check out my website at www.infomarketingbook.com.

Rhett Palmer: When you gonna come down here and be in my studio live?

Robert Skrob: Well whenever you invite me.

Rhett Palmer: No seriously, keep my phone number and my contact information when you’re coming down to Miami and you’re gonna pass by here or wherever it is, make sure you contact me.

Robert Skrob: I would look forward to it and I’ll bring you a fresh new fish sandwich.

Rhett Palmer: Okay I appreciate that and I’ll go to Brianna’s I’ll take you to lunch at Brianna’s how’s that?

Robert Skrob: That sounds great.

Rhett Palmer: Okay say listen good talking to you and I meant that seriously when you’re gonna come down this way, give me a weeks notice and we’ll have you in.

Robert Skrob: Sounds wonderful Rhett.

Rhett Palmer: You have a good day.

Robert Skrob: Bye.
